I knew that I needed to add an element of fun to my shop, to encourage people to hang out. This turned out to be a disaster, and caused some arguments among my cannabis customers. I quickly got rid of those machines and replaced them with board games, cards, and role playing games, hoping to attract a different kind of cannabis customers. The great thing about role playing games is that they involve imagination, which means gamers love cannabis, and that they are focused and quiet. Fights never break out with this kind of gamers, they just consume cannabis edibles, hit their vape pens, and roll dice for hours on end. There are some gamers that don’t indulge in cannabis at all, but they still support the store by buying bottles of water or soda. They are a good group and provide a lot of extra business to the cannabis dispensary, so I don’t mind bending the rules for them. Sometimes I even buy pizzas for the gamers, because happy people tend to spend a lot more money and smoke more cannabis. .
