I nearly fell backwards and down the stairs when the guy ran into me
Working as a delivery person can be a difficult job, especially when you have to walk a bunch of flights of stairs. I regularly have to walk the stairs to deliver to customers. Most of the apartment buildings in the city have broken elevators. It’s not unusual for me to track up and down 50 or 60 flights of stairs in a single night at work. On Tuesday night I was working at the marijuana delivery service. I had two deliveries that were going to the same exact apartment building. I was pretty happy about that, because I only had to drive to one location in order to get tips from two different people. When I got to the apartment building, I wasn’t surprised at all to see that the elevator was not in use. One of the marijuana delivery orders was on the 5th floor and the other delivery was on the 8th floor. I walked up the first five flights of stairs. I had both of the delivery bags in my hand. I didn’t see the other person coming down the stairs. My vision was blocked by the boxes that I was carrying. The guy ran right into me and knocked all of my boxes to the ground. Everything toppled over inside of them. I was trying to make sure that the cannabis concentrates were upright. I nearly fell backwards and down the stairs when the guy ran into me. He clearly wasn’t watching where he was going and he was in a hurry. I could have fallen down the stairs and gotten hurt.
