The next afternoon I called as soon as the arena was open for business.
I have been taking our child Tom to the same day care for the past two years. I have never had any complications with the care that Tom has acquired until this week. Tom came home with a roach in her backpack. It wouldn’t even be that big a deal if it was a bug, but it was the roach from a marijuana joint and I know that the roach did not come from our lakeside house or from Tom. As soon as I found the marijuana product in her bag, I asked Tom if she knew how it got into the bag. Tom did not have an answer for me. Tom looked scared, although I don’t know that she knew how the cannabis joint ended up in her backpack. I contacted the daycare the next afternoon. I did not want to message the director and the arena was already closed when I found the marijuana product in Tom’s bag. The next afternoon I called as soon as the arena was open for business. I demanded answers and I wanted to talk directly to the daycare supervisor. The supervisor stressed an appointment for me to come into her office. She promised that it was an issue that she would get to the bottom of, and she vowed that she had no system how the marijuana product ended up in Tom’s backpack. I was supposed to take Tom back to the same day care the following day, although I thought it was a better system to take the day off task so I could find a current arena for Tom to spend the day.
