My husband gave blood a few months ago and discovered that he has high blood pressure.

This rattled both of us since the men in his family tend to die young.

The two of us have been really proactive about making him healthy. I started researching foods for good heart health. He only gets chicken, vegetables, fruits, rice and quinoa for dinner now. I don’t let him have anything salty, sugary or fattening anymore. My husband works out five days a week now. He does a light kickboxing workout and a good stretch. He also has worked on his mental health. I feel that is the biggest contributing factor to his blood pressure. Work stresses him out. He tried meditating, listening to music and talking it out. The best fix for his stress was vaping cannabis oil though. He now vapes right before the work day and takes a few hits at lunch. He doesn’t like that he is a medical weed patient but hopefully it is temporary. Thankfully his job allows him to work from home too. So he doesn’t need to sneak out of the office to smoke his marijuana. He can discreetly smoke it at his desk and nobody at work knows he is relying on weed. Medical cannabis really has been helping. He monitors his blood pressure weekly and has seen a slight decrease in it. We are hopeful that all of these things are going to make him healthy. He is eating right, working out hard and calming his mind. What more can he do?
