It’s not just going to be one or two things, every product will be 5% more
The owner of the recreational and medical marijuana dispensary where I work said it is time to raise our prices for the first time in 2 years. When the recreational marijuana shop opened up for business, we were one of the first places in the city to sell marijuana from an actual retail location. When the place opened, we had a 25% off sale for several months. The sale drew in a lot of different customers. We continue to keep our prices low so we can be the best dispensary in the city. Each and every month, we offer sales and specials on products like marijuana concentrate, vape pen cartridges, edibles, and tinctures. All of the prices have remained the same, but I found out that prices on marijuana products are going up 5% at the start of next year. We are 2 months away from the beginning of the year and we just found out about the new price increase. 5% might not sound like a lot of money, but our customers are going to recognize the increase on all of the products. It’s not just going to be one or two things, every product will be 5% more. Even the products that come from other dispensaries will see a rate increase to make up for the cost of doing business. I don’t think that we will lose any customers over the 5% increase, but a lot of people are going to be very unhappy when they find out that we are raising the prices of marijuana in the city.
