Sometimes it’s hard for me to hear correctly when there are a lot of different noises going on around me.
I understand how hard it must be for someone to take an order in the Drive-Thru of a restaurant, when there are customers ordering at the front and lots of different things going on around them.
When I call to place a takeout order, I always make the person repeat the order to me, even if they are busy. Sometimes a person will give me a hard time about reading back the order, but I think it is very important to make sure that everything is right the first time. I ordered some items from the restaurant last week and they forgot all of my macaroni and potato salad. The restaurant was out when I arrived and I had to wait 15 minutes for another batch to be made. It wasn’t a huge amount of time to wait, but I was already in a hurry. I was in a hurry on Monday when I ordered some items from the marijuana dispensary. I called the dispensary to order all of the items that I needed. The order was read back directly to me and everything was correct. When I arrived at the marijuana dispensary, my order was ready to go and I even received a 10% discount because all of the marijuana concentrates were on sale that day. In a world where everyone is moving quickly and things are happening at a fast rate of speed, it’s nice when my order is right the first time.
