When medical marijuana was on the ballot, I was pretty much ambivalent.
I didn’t really care all that much one way or the other.
On the one hand, it seemed like cannabis should be legal if alcohol was going to be legal. I mean, it’s pretty common knowledge the booze is a whole lot worse for your body that marijuana products. That said, I was also sort of skeptical of the politics behind legalizing medical marijuana. I though this was just about allowing people to buy it so the state could get all that revenue. There is a fee for a medical marijuana card and I’m sure they are getting a big cut from taxing the cannabis products. That left a bad taste in my mouth. But the measure passed and I sort of acknowledged that fact and moved on with my busy life. It wasn’t even a year later before I was given a cancer diagnosis. And that changed everything along with my perspective when it came to medical marijuana. These days, I’m in remission and a very grateful person indeed. The indica products were so key to me getting through the chemo. Indica strains really helped me with the nausea as well as bolstering my appetite. I was able to put healthy stuff in me thanks to the indica strains for sale at the cannabis dispensary. But I also discovered the sativa strains and I’m lucky to be able to continue to access the local cannabis spot for them. The new normal isn’t so easy and the sativa strains are helping me to maintain a positive and hopeful outlook indeed.
