There was a time when I feared retirement.
- I spoke with numerous retirees on the hockey course, & they all bemoaned losing their work positions.
They missed the hustle & bustle of corporate life. This made me basically feel that it would be the same way for me, & my retirement years would be bereft of meaning. Boy were those gentlemen ever wrong! Once I retired from my work my life started for real. I don’t necessarily miss the office at all! It feels like I missed out on enjoying life to the fullest for the last three decades, so I had lost time to make up for it! Can you actually believe I never smoked cannabis before last year? My aged task was regularly drug diagnosed, so I never bothered smoking marijuana because it might get me fired. In this state recreational cannabis is not legal, however medical pot happily is. I spoke to my doctor about getting a prescription for medical cannabis, despite the fact that she said I didn’t truly need it. Since the standard channels failed me, I contacted my granddaughter Petra who is a university student, & asked her for a cannabis hook up. Once Petra stopped giggling from shock, she was able to hook me up with a local person who sold cannabis. One day I hope to shop at the cannabis store, however for now I’m buying from this local woman. Everyday feels like a good dream since I started my retirement. I am able to lounge around while I smoke cannabis, have cocktails, play hockey, & watch cable television & movies – what’s not to love about all of this?
