I don’t travel all that often to be honest, even though I truly need to start.
- For the first time in practically 15 years I took a vacation, got on a plane, & flew to the other side of the nation.
It definitely was an amazing time, & I can’t wait to go back to be completely honest. I can see that I have been too focused on my work for far too long, & I forgot about “stopping for a minute to smell the roses” as the saying goes. I went to see an aged university buddy who lives on the opposite coast. I did not know until arriving that this state has legalized cannabis, & not just medical cannabis, however all of it! I was quite impressed by the number of legal cannabis dispensaries in the city, however it was normal for Sam. What was ridiculous to me was commonplace to her. Sam was an excellent host, & took me to what she thought to be the best cannabis dispensary in town. It was a quiet, laid back joint with a smokers lounge directly next door to the cannabis shop. This afternoon there was a three-person jazz combo playing live tunes at the cannabis store. I bought some cannabis & a few packs of gummies, & after that I hung around the lounge for an hour listening to some good tunes & catching up on aged times. The site even had a cannabis cafe serving desserts, even though I was thinking it was too early in the day to get that stoned. Although the rest of the trip was sort of hazy thanks to all the cannabis gummies, I had a pretty marvelous time & can’t wait to go back.
